To celebrate and commemorate the day, we attended a service with the Hopedale Unitarian Universalists in Oxford. Cora's delight during the Easter Egg Hunt was absolutely hilarious.
Today, the Supreme Court began hearing arguments tied to the constitutionality of California's Proposition 8, and the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). She dressed appropriately - in rainbow colors - to stand in solidarity with all of her LGBTQ friends and family.
Before Cora completely takes off with walking, I wanted to make sure to get a video of her very common mode of transportation - knee walking. Here she is getting her favorite stuffed animal and lovie, Ella the Owl.
Our little Leprechaun has really started to take off with walking. Sometimes, she'll even initiate it on her own. We think Cora is starting to understand that walking may be a more efficient mode of mobility than knee walking or crawling...
Last weekend, Cora met her new cousin, Dominic Jackson Magee.
Cora was a trooper as she navigated her way through a cross-country flight, new sleeping environment, and time zone change. While travelling with a little one is necessarily a different experience than vacationing with adults, we loved meeting Dominic, and spending time with the Seattle branch of the Magee family. Thank you, Nonnos Mark and Rich, Uncles Andy, Brian, and Matt, and of course, baby Dominic, for your generosity and love. (and in your case, DJ: thank you for being such a super-chill, fantastic little boy). We miss you already!
3/5/2013, Cora watching Cora. (this doesn't even capture how much Cora LOVES watching herself "fake laugh" on this video. Meanwhile, we've loved watching Cora try to get a laugh going these past few weeks by starting to laugh herself... :)
