Happy First Birthday! - January 26, 2013

It has been one year since Cora burst into our lives, forever redefining our understanding of what it means to be connected to another human being.  This is our love song to our sweet, silly, wonderful baby girl.

Bath time fun!

Milestone update: We've removed the "baby" cloth that suspended Cora above the tub.

Edited to Add (January 28): And the baby cloth has gone back into the tub.  Cora just couldn't get comfortable with all that space... we'll try again soon :)

Little organizer

Cora has become very interested in organizing and re-organizing.  She especially likes to move her shapes and caps from one container to another, and to group the objects together (e.g., caps with caps).  We hope to harness this new game in a positive direction, as part of this process involves wildly dumping everything onto the ground.  "Sometimes to create, one must first destroy"... right?  :)

Penguins!

Thanks to Uncle Andy for knitting Cora an adorable penguin hat and toy penguin.  Here she is, enjoying the thoughtful gifts, along with her beloved Christmas Tigger from Grandma Mel.  Cora has the moves.

Girls' Week

Daddy enjoyed visiting our new nephew/cousin, Dominic, in Seattle earlier this month.  Meanwhile, momma and Cora had some fun bonding time together.

Happy New Year!

2012 brought many changes for our family - new jobs, a new city, a new apartment... and MOST of all... a new person!  Cora has been an unbelievable blessing, and we can't wait to see what adventures we'll face in 2013 and beyond.

Thank you to Grandma Mel and Uncle Matt for helping us to ring in the New Year.  We love you!

Opening gifts with Grandma Mel, who kindly babysat Cora 12/31/12 so Momma and Daddy could have a night out (+ who even more kindly woke up with Cora the following morning).
